Emergency Childcare Plan

An essential tool to complete now

An Emergency Childcare Plan acts on your behalf when you are unable to do so yourself. This could be when a military member is away on operational duty, or in an emergency such as the birth of a child or any other unexpected situation.

It gathers all the key information to ensure your child is cared for properly: daily routines, medical needs, dietary preferences, school transportation schedules, and more.

You can also include details about dependents or pets to ensure the well-being of every member of your household.

This document allows the designated caregiver to act with confidence, thanks to shared preparation where everyone is informed, involved, and on the same page. It’s a practical way to be ready for the unexpected.

We strongly encourage parents to complete the plan and share copies with the key people.
